By Car
From Junction 1 of the M42:
Take the B4096 Old Birmingham Road towards Rednal for about 2.8 miles. At the roundabout at the bottom of the hill take the first exit, you will now be entering Rednal. Fern Cottage away from the road between Fletcher’s and the Hare and Hounds pub (on your left, just as the road splits with a grassed area between the two lanes).
From Junction 4 of the M5:
Take the A38 North towards Birmingham. A few minutes after passing the Rubery Great Park development (Cinema, large supermarket etc) on your left you will come to a large roundabout where the A38 turns off towards the left. You need to take the exit to the right (2nd exit) onto the Lickey Road and into the village of Rednal.
After the large park, and as you get into the main part of the village, the grassed central reservation will stop. Turn right (not at the end of the grass, but after the tarmac triangle) as if you were doing a U-turn to go back the way you have just come. Almost immediately though, turn left into the driveway between Fletcher’s and the Hare and Hounds pub to go to Fern Cottage.
From Birmingham City Centre:
From the city centre, follow the A38 (Bristol Road) out of town. You will pass through Bournbrook, Selly Oak, Northfield and Longbridge. At the large roundabout in Longbridge where the A38 goes to the right, take the first exit to go straight on and into the village of Rednal.
